You could help us with practical or administrative tasks:

​

• caring for and maintaining the trees in the orchard in Northern Parkland. Two local Primary Schools, Manor Fields and Hillmead are already involved and other groups would be welcome. We have started with 31 trees and plan to add to the number in later years. The trees are a mix of apples, pears, plums and cherries.

• working towards setting up an orchard at another site. The Town Council awarded initial funding for an orchard at Jenkins Lane. Since the site is no longer suitable for growing fruit trees, the grant commitment for the orchard project could still be made available for an alternative orchard site.
